With the growth of vintage and thrift culture in our generation, comes also the growth of collector culture in our spaces. And as it stands now, one shop in One City USJ is quickly making a name for itself as the go-to vintage thrift destinationβ€”not just for designer clothes or vintage items, but for unique finds across the spectrum.

Cleverly named andDen is a thrift and vintage collector shop that not only sells vintage clothing finds, but also designer furniture and items from places like Europe, Thailand and many areas around South East Asia or locally.

Inspired by the melancholic yet nostalgic vibes of Harajuku thrift stores, the den exudes the charm of a curio shop, where every corner hides a story waiting to be discovered.

Meet the founding duo of andDen, Chloe and Sam

The idea of andDen started from a passion for collecting cool vintage items, ranging from collectibles to furniture. Sam, who was already an avid collector, found himself enjoying the process. And after it reached a certain point where even his house wasn't able to hold all the stuff he collected, he started the shop as a way to share his love for collecting with the community, turning personal passion into a space for discovery.

Chloe, who already had a background in working at a thrift store before, was also finding her herself eager to learn more about archive fashion as she explored further into thrift culture. Being interested in the collection and exploration aspect of archive fashion, she decided to explore starting the shop together with Sam and together they built a genuine appreciation for giving their collections new life through recycling.

Together, they discovered a passion for scouring marketplaces and unearthing rare pieces, learning more about their collections with every find. And with orders coming in after their amazing reception at Second Life Markets, they’re only just beginning their journey with the store! With plans down the line to expand (especially to store all the furniture they have!), they are making rapid moves to grow the vintage scene with their own take on curation.

Fits and furnitures that goes hand in hand

Sam’s fascination with furniture began with Space Age and Midsummer Milano, eventually evolving into a wide-ranging collection of designer chairs and playful curios. These pieces now give the store much of its personality, transforming it from just a vintage fashion destination into a space that feels like a living gallery, where every corner reflects his fascination of unusual and cool furnitures.

And don't let the furniture distract you from the fantastic fashion collection they have! Ranging from nostalgic F1 Sepang-era merchandise to timeless Yves Saint Laurent pieces. It’s not only a carefully curated archive but also a true haven for vintage fashion lovers where prices range from as little as RM20 to over RM800 for rare archive pieces.

From the vast collection they have, it's certainly possible to find your next style here and even get a few photos too as the shop's furniture compliments the outfits they have curated!

Sam, co-founder of the clothing brand *Puppet*, brings his eye for streetwear and vintage pieces he loves seeing people wear. Chloe, with her passion for designer finds and playful sneakers, adds another dimension to the mix. With their curated diverse collection that reflects both their backgrounds in fashion, you are definitely bound to find a piece that speaks to you somewhere in the store and maybe even discover a style you didn't know you love!
