Spellbound is a concept by Xavier Seow and Alice Ng as a way for both of them to express their love for the media they share their enjoyment with.
Introducing Xavier and Alice, the creative minds and local faces behind Spellbound, a personal project they've nurtured with passion. The brand carries ideas and concepts from media and creative pieces that compelled them to try a creative project to express their interests!
And what started as a way to bond over a new craft became their way of paying homage to the stuff they enjoy as seen with their designs featuring silhouettes and accents of said inspired media.
Who are you, and what do you do?
**Xavier Seow**: I'm 24 and work as a banker, specializing in mortgages.
**Alice Ng**: I'm a 23-year-old journalism student.
Tell us, how and when did Spellbound come about?
We realized we wanted a platform to work on projects we genuinely love! We started tossing ideas around in early March, but things really kicked off in May 2025. We've actually been watching a lot of documentaries too lately, which explains why our aesthetic leans towards soft gothic.
What are your favorite things right now? Any songs on repeat, brands you're loving, or shows you've been watching?
Alice: Music-wise, I can't get enough of 10cc's "I’m Not in Love." For fashion, I'm drawn to Maison Margiela and Isabel Marant.
Xavier: I've been listening to HIM's "Join Me in Death" and I'm really into brands like ERD and Maison Margiela.
What was your background in design and fashion?
Alice: I’m still very much in the learning phase—I am most looking at fashion shows to see how to find inspirations for our work.
Xavier: Still a learning process with me!
Keeping up with the momentum of their creative ventures, Spellbound release a calendar recently which features eye catching graphics and visuals of media thats uniquely captivating.
